As a final get-together during our last week in Germany, we took a group trip on draisines, those old-timey trains you need two people to run. So we piled 24 people and a baby into two of these cars and took off for a distant BBQ. It was raining and cold, but gosh darnd it, we had fun! It was one of those extremely lame activities that is so lame it ends up being really fun. I sort of wish we had actually done it at the beginning of the year rather than the end, but I'm glad we got to do it at all.
